I first moved here to sunny Las Vegas in January, by the time March rolled around I hadn't met many people but wanted to commit to a bodymod I'd wanted forever, splitting my tongue.
Enter "The Piercing Shop"
As soon as I got there I was met by some of the friendliest, body-moddest, tattooed folks around and felt like I found where I belonged. After our initial meeting about a half hour before closing. All of my questions were answered, doubts erased, and mind firmly made up on going through with the decision.
The next night I came to the shop at closing and was encircled by Shane von Ranniger (Pro piercer and incredible dude all around) Kelsey Kakos (Apprentice at the time with a huge future) and two others who guided me through the motions I'd need to undergo my big moment.
I left the experience with my tongue sutured and my camera filled with 30+ pictures of the whole experience. 4 months later and I can't forget the moment I joined the ranks of split tongue hood.
If all this was done for me, I couldn't expect anything less for anyone that walks in off the street the way I did. The location is sterile, jewelery selection is choice and the staff is by far and away filled with some of the most solid, talented individuals I've encountered. (Take it from someone whose undergone 10 different piercings above the neck and 4 below).
