  • Before I begin to review the Sales department, I would like to give the service department 5 stars. The kind of customer service you would expect from any business. On the other hand, the sales department does not even deserve one star. My Kia was stolen on Sept. 16, 2015. My insurance company waits 2 weeks to see if the car will be recovered. On Sept. 25, 2015 I stopped in to ABC Hundai to "look" at what cars might be available if my car was not recovered. I explained my situation to the salesman that approached me. I looked at a few different cars and found a reconditioned Veloster that I thought might a possibility. I took the car for a drive around the block. The young man that was helping me was named Brock. Very polite and not pushy or overbearing at all. We went inside to get more information on the car. Donte Reid, sales manager, appeared from the back office. I explained my situation to him, again saying that I would not be buying a car unless my car was not recovered and I only wanted information about the Veloster. Before I knew it he was giving me all these numbers and telling me I should not leave without buying the car. After 30 minutes of discussion I asked Donte what would happen if I bought the Veloster and my KIA was found before the 2 week period was up. His exact words to me were "We will pay of the KIA". I even went as far as to call my son In Colorado to have him talk to Donte and tell my son what he had just told me. Donte assured my son that those terms would be put into my purchase contract. Long story short, nothing about my KIA was put into the contract. I did not realize this until after I had purchased the Veloster. Three days after I had purchased the Veloster the KIA was found and was being held at the Action Towing impound lot. I relayed this information to Donte and he instructed me to go to the impound and make sure it was my car and get any personal belongings from the car. He also instructed me to sign a waiver that he could pick up the KIA. I did both. From Sept. 30, 2015 to Dec. 31, 2015 Mr.Reid never picked up the KIA from the impound. At least once a week I would stop in the dealership to see if he had picked up the car. He always had an excuse as to why he had not gone to get the car. At one point I reminded him that every day that the KIA was at the impound it was racking up fees. His response to me was "Don't worry about it, I will take care of it". The first week of January, 2016, the KIA was repossessed from the impound and sold the 3rd week of Jan. at auction. I was now left with a $7,500.00 bill to pay KIA. $3,400.00 of which was for the storage at the impound. When I approached Mr Estay, the owner of the ABC Hundai franchise, about paying the impound bill, his response to me was, "Did someone hold a gun to your head to buy the Veloster?" I should have read a few of the reviews on this website before dealing with ABC Hundai. About a month later I received an email from the new salesman Brock, telling me that he was no longer at ABC Hundai because he could not work for a company that only cared about the sale and not the customer. Beware!
