  • This was an old haunt for me back in 2000, and this was my first visit back since I moved back this year. I had expected it to be frozen in time (a good thing) : timelessness is something I value. Service was perfect. Food was what I expected. But the restaurant itself is more than tired: it's beaten up. All the marble topped tables are chipped - many with 4 broken corners; the bar stools are mismatched.and placed inattentively, the hallway to the washrooms is filthy and in an embarrassing state of dusrepair, there's peeling paint in the dining room. There's nowhere to look without seeing something filthy broken or wo The design is a classic and the condition of the restaurant is just plain disrespectful. It needs LOTS of TLC. I hope it receives it.
