  • I've been frequenting this Canadian Tire quite a bit lately, though they've always got what I'm looking for, I find the service to be a bit hit and miss. On some visits, like my most recent one, I'll have an employee stop and ask me if I need help finding anything as they see the bewildered look on my face as I'm trying to figure out what exactly I'm looking for. I appreciated that one of them took the time to look up long enough to see if I looked lost or not. On other visits, like one the week before, I'll pass employees doing inventory, stocking shelves, etc. in a similar state and be at the point that I need to approach them first. That isn't so uncommon in Calgary's retail stores... but the first guy is upping the bar. When I can walk in and have someone like him every time, this location'll be a four-star. I've done my fair share of retail work. I know they've got their own tasks to accomplish and it isn't always possible to get to every single employee... but if a few of them can do it, why not the rest? On a different note, the store itself is well-stocked and tidy. Things are always where they should be, the cashiers are pretty efficient, the aisles are well labelled and the prices for most items are an easy pill to swallow.
