We visited Muddy Waters on a rainy and slow Monday evening at 8:30pm, so the place was only about 1/5th full. They had some cool Austin City Limits type music on the sound system, but two nights a week they do have live music in house for a two hour session.
My husband ordered a Jack's hard cider to drink, while I ordered an apple flavored drink named 'Don't you lie to me.' Both drinks were light and refreshing. We started with the cornbread which came with apple flavored butterjam. The two together were a burst of flavors and were delicious.
My husband ordered the hush puppies that were perfectly cooked, light and flavorful, while I ordered the chargrilled oysters. The oysters were more flavorful as they cooled down just a bit. I ordered an iceberg wedge, but did not care for their version of it.
For entrees, my husband got red beans, sausage and rice and I had the lobster roll with Cajun fries. It was the first time I've ever had lobster so I wish there wasn't any crawfish in there to muddle the flavor. The taste was mellow and pleasant and I got practically the entire thing to go since we were both stuffed.
The server was very professional and accommodating. All the employees were very nice. I would definitely like to visit again.
