| - Had some family in town for a few days and the little sister took a pretty bad tumble one night - her ankle swelled up to about two times her other ankle! We gave her some ice & ibuprofen and hoped she'd be alright the next morning since her flight was leaving that day... Cue 8AM day of flight - to urgent care we went, I did not want to go to this urgent care because of the ratings on yelp. However, when I called around to get current wait times at other urgent cares, i got rude people on the other end - Advanced Urgent Care was the only one who was pleasant to speak with over the phone and give me an idea of their wait time (most others won't because you could end up there longer.) she told me there were 6 people waiting at that time. So we took a deep breath and headed over.
We had a 2 hour wait which was totally not fun, which was aggravating, and of course we wished it was a shorter wait time.
But, the lady behind the front counter was sweet & patient with everybody and once we got in, the nurse who checks vitals and gets you into a room was funny & genuinely concerned. Also, as little sis was hobbling around the office - a man noticed and immediately put her on the list for an x-ray.
Wait time about 2.5 hours, time in back about 30-45 min. But it's the people that make this a great urgent care.
If you have an emergency, go to the ER.
If you need a general doctor, go find one.
Stop clogging up the Urgent Care waiting rooms!
