| - This place is worth a visit for the soda selection alone! To say the least about the soda flavors, they have the usuals and some not-so-usuals (pumkin pie, bacon, king cake). And for those who are not fans of the syrupy sugar rush or if you are watching your waistline, they also have a great selection of unique and naturally flavored carbonated waters (my personal preference so I was thrilled!).
If you want a well-balanced hot dog this place is worth a try. They use beef Hebrew National Hotdogs. For those diehard dog lovers, this brand does contain a lot of sodium, nitrites, and they're plumped using soy protein filler so definitely not the best dog, but a tasty economical dog nonetheless. And the toppings were well-balanced. I can't resist a loaded chicago dog, it was delicious.
As for the hamburgers, I was underwhelmed. They do have some interesting selections (pbj burger anyone?) but the burger patty is super thin and there isn't much flavor. My burger wasn't dripping with grease either but I definitely ran an extra mile the next day. Keep your expectations realistic and you won't be disappointed. It's fast food, not gourmet.
Sides were good, aside from the cheese curds (my batch was super salty). Naturally everything is fried but the batter they use has a great consistency and crunch. You could also really taste the ingredients, there was no overwhelming fry oil flavor. I was also informed they prepare the zuchinni in house and nothing is packaged and shipped then flash fried so that's a bonus for sure. No stale box flavor here!
The staff was also super friendly and patient with us as we perused our options (I am chronically indecisive).
I may be back for the occassional hotdog hankering and fried zuccini fix and definitely for a carbonated flavor adventure but I wouldn't return for the burgers.
