To be honest, the Food Truck Roundup on Saturday at Coffee Buddha was my first food truck experience since college in the 1980's. Wow, the concept has come a long way since 33rd Street in West Philly. We tried the Braised Beef, Mushroom and Blue Cheese Mac, and the Prosciutto, Artichoke and Red Pepper Mac. Both were very well done, the Blue Cheese and Prosciutto provided each with just the right amount of salt and the Panko topping provided a nice crunch. It is easy to eat standing up, looked good (sometimes presentation is sacrificed when making something "to go") and the food stayed warm. It was just the right meal for a not too cold late winter afternoon. Next time I plan on adding bacon to plain M&C, and also trying the fries.
This team has hit on a great idea and I wish them the best on luck!!
