This used to be owned by someone else and the massages were amazing and I swear I used to come here weekly. My friend Ada was in town and I did something to my neck and was in a lot of pain so after happy hour we decided to stop and get massages. Sounds like a great start to a weekend, right?
To start they have to lay on your back with your feet down in a bucket of water soaking. I don't have any lower back problems but I can only lay in this position with my back hyperextended for a few minutes before it starts to ache. This isn't the point of a massage. They really did not like that I wouldn't cooperate. (Am I the only one that finds this uncomfortable?) Second, they spoke really no English so I couldn't communicate this which made it really difficult so she got back at me then reprimanded me in I don't know...maybe Thai?
More than once I had to ask her to go deeper because her touch was so light. To retaliate she'd find sore knots and kind of rub/beat them really fast. Not in a massaging, get the knots of way but more of a way your entire body tenses up. It was the strangest most uncomfortable massage I ever had. The entire time I'm vacillating between thinking what a waste of money this is and how much time is left so I can get out of here.
Every time I drive by on my way to Fry's I can't understand how they're still open.
