The former spring training home of the Oakland A's was not much the best of the spring training facilities in the valley.....but it was quaint. It sits on the border somewhat between Tempe and Phoenix but it is close to Scottsdale with easy access to the light rail. The sight lines and seating were pretty decent but this stadium definitely was showing it's age so it was time for the A's to move in my opinion. There was no lawn seating and that is a staple of Spring Training facilities so that was a little disappointing. There was nothing real special about the vendors or the food but parking was easy and the view of the Papago Rocks in Left Field were worth the price of admission. So Oakland A's Fans I know it will be sad to see your team moving but I think they will like Hohokam Stadium in Mesa next season. Eat, Drink, and be Merry my Friends.
