A golf course with some pretty cool views that I can dig. It's the future home of the ASU golf team so you know this course is going to get even better. This is a challenging track with a fair amount of undulation throughout the course. I liked that the greens held well and rolled nicely. Given that the weather is heating up and conditions tend to dry out, I found the course to be pretty plush and green.
They're currently going through some clubhouse renovations and what you will find is a contemporary design... something I've hardly seen in the traditional, old-looking design of most golf facilities. This newer face adds a much young and hip look to a sport that people often view as an old man's hobby.
If you plan on playing in the next four to six months, their practice facility won't be ready until spring so if you need to warm up before your round, find a close golf course to get the kinks out and then head on over to Papago.
