  • 4.5 for the venue Forget the fact that it's inside the dingy Monte Carlo Hotel; this NEW venue is top of the line. Perhaps once they finish remodeling the hotel, they will both seamlessly match. A gorgeous atrium full of beautiful mismatched chandeliers towers over the escalators. Once at the theater level, the ushers cheerfully greeted us. There are a couple of food and beverage stands near most theater doors, and the bathrooms are spotless (before AND after the show). I visited several weeks ago to see the Ricky Martin ALL IN show. It's not a huge theater, and thus, the performance felt more quaint than usual Vegas shows and at his other concerts. There is not a bad seat in the house, it's very well designed. I think every resident uses a different stage design. For Ricky's show, besides the main stage, there's an added runway that runs in a T pattern into the crowd allowing him to get even closer. The front area is general admission, standing-room only. I didn't want to stand the entire time, so I purchased regular seated tickets. The seats are comfortable and nicely spaced out. There's a row, about midway up with settees and cocktail service for certain VIP tickets. I saw those when initially purchasing mine and wasn't interested. After seeing them in person, I'd say they are 100% worth it (and not much more than my ticket already was anyway!). Not only are you drinking throughout the concert with available waitstaff, but there's plenty of space to dance. And dance you will...it's Ricky! If you know me, you know I'm a huge fan. The show is different than his other shows. There's an added Vegas element to it with even sexier costumes for his dancers, and even some classic Vegas show-tunes added to his repertoire. Expect his usual charisma take over the show and an extremely high-energy finish. As for cell phones, they are always allowed for his show. There's a reason Las Vegas Weekly just gave him the "Best of Vegas" Best New Resident award. Get thee to Vegas! His residency returns in September. #ventepaca #ALLIN
