| - I wandered in here on a cold afternoon seeking a sugar fix.
There was a display of the cupcakes for the day, it was hard to choose!
They had standard vanilla cupcakes, and other flavours like red velvet, chocolate coconut, and peanut butter chocolate.
I usually go with vanilla buttercream, but I ended up getting a salted caramel cupcake to go.
The cupcake itself is pretty small for $3.00.
The cake part of the cupcake was not too sweet and still moist.
However, the frosting didn't have enough caramel and sweetness for the amount of large grain salt. It was more like, salty buttery frosting on a vanilla cupcake.
Also, unlike some other cupcake shops, they give you a paper bag for your cupcake. So the frosting gets all squished. I know rent isn't that cheap for shops on Yonge street, but still..
The paper bag is lame unless you are selling macarons or cookies.
Sorry, I just don't like having to try to lick icing off the inside of a paper bag.
I'll give Dlish three stars because I'm sure I'll be back to try another cupcake.
But it's not my favourite place to get a cupcake in the neighborhood.
