| - I didn't have a lot on my bucket list for my recent trip to Cleveland. I had it bookmarked but after Cara L. vouched for the market, I had to go! I decided not to go on a weekend but instead went on a Monday morning. That was probably the best decision I made!
If you can't find one hour street parking, come around the back. I hear they only recently started charging a nominal amount to park there. Hey, I'm from Seattle, a few dollars for 90 minutes is a great deal! Even though I parked around the back, I had to walk around to see the front. What a beautiful building inside and out!
I was struck by the selection of vendors. Some of the vendors were closed but that was to be expected since I was visiting on a Monday morning. I would assume all the stalls are open during the weekend. I was happy to be able to take a few pictures and navigate the rows without much resistance.
There was a great selection of meats, dairy products, and baked goods. I bought a bunch of macarons for the plane ride home, bags of popcorn, and other baked goods. Yes, that was me buying 3 pounds of smoked meats but I was okay with that, especially since the couple in front of me bought twice as much.
After I was done shopping, I went upstairs so I could get the full experience of the market from up high. It was gorgeous! Definitely one of the gems of this trip!
