I came here to have my 05 mustang gt to get serviced, it was making a bit of a strange galloping propeller noise on the throttle. I went to another shop previously who had told me my car was running perfectly fine and that the noise was normal so after looking around, I decided on USA auto repair when I seen their reviews on yelp.
Josh was very helpful and knew his stuff. It ended up being an exhaust leak as i suspected and josh and his team were able to confirm my suspicions and fix the issue. Their prices were reasonable and they seemed to make you feel like they prioritize you as a customer.
I'm really glad I went to have some techs work on my vehicle that actually know what they're doing and take their work seriously and with pride. I'd suggest here if you have any sort of repair issue on your vehicle. My critique though is that when they removed my engine they only fixed the leak on one side of the header instead of both which didn't make much sense to me since the engine was already off. So since they only half fixed the issue I had to reduce my rating.
It still makes a pretty noticeable exhaust leak sound but at least it's not "as" loud as it was previously. Still though, paying 500 bucks, I was hoping to have the entire thing fixed. It's just not as nice having a sports car that looks but doesn't sound the part.
My headers and exhaust was installed for 350 so I felt 500 should of been enough to have both side gaskets put on instead of just one. And when another shop looked at the manifolds they said they don't think it was welded as USA auto said they had done?
I'm not sure if my second opinion shop is correct or not but for the sake of benefit of the doubt I will trust USA did weld it. I'm just most disappointed atm with the exhaust noise still. Hopefully I can have another place like Shelby motor sports complete the repair for cheaper in the near future or upgrade the set up? It's just too pricy atm.
I guess for a quick fix for a smaller job this place would be alright, but I don't think I would come here for a larger problem like I have on my vehicle right now.
