  • Sadly and much to the disappointment of northern transplants, there are only two ice rinks in the Charlotte area - and both are a good drive outside the city. Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail is the better of the two (the other is the Pineville Ice House). Extreme Ice Center is a pretty new facility and has two rinks. If you're looking to go to a public skate or take lessons, I'd go with this rink.
