I had the battery on a Movado replaced here a few years ago & thought the $20 charge was reasonable. I went in last week to have links removed from a watch I just purchased. It's not a fancy name but I bought it for a little over $100. The guy took out an iPad and entered in the name of the store where I bought it (Express), the color, and I think the price of the watch then told me it would be $29. Huh? What does any of that have to do with removing the links? It doesn't have fancy special links, in fact they look just like the links on a $20 Target watch I have and I had a friend remove links from that watch in approximately 5 minutes with a $20 tool they bought on Amazon. I'm not sure what kind of algorithm they are using to determine prices but it's obviously off. I declined their service.
