Certainly this mall will shield you from the heat on the strip, but for me, it was merely a passing point/walkway from my hotel Planet Hollywood to Hilton Elara (where my friends were staying) and also to the parking structure that PH and Elara share with the mall. It's got a lot of nice shops, generic eating options, and a movie theatre but is in no way the main attraction in Vegas. You could probably do some damage on that credit card if you stayed long enough. The Forum on the other side of the strip by TI (Treasure Island) is a lot bigger and fancier of a mall and there are south and north sets of outlets nearby that will keep the shopper in your party happy.
