This is a mostly private industry market place where businesses come to see to other businesses. There are a few place for consumers to shop but they don't get to go in the larger building and see all the new and cool stuff reserved for industry insiders.
But if you do get in you'll find some amazing products, latest trends and fashions in home decor, bedding and furniture. Lots of sales people in suits and lots of interesting interior designers and other creatives and a sprinkling of wannabe's. Its great for dream shopping for things most people will never own and people watching too.
The family it great but sadly only used a few weeks each year for most of the giant space. Also perhaps the worst elevator system of any large building I've ever been in.
Dress in layers, it could be freezing outside but roasting inside and when you add lots of people working under hot lights, wearing suits and other formal clothes your going to get hot.
Parking can get really bad and that often run out so come early and pick up your ID before the show starts or you could spend a lot of time in long lines registering.
