I've been meaning to check this place for a while, but since it's across town, I finally made it over there. But lucky me, I read they're opening a second one in Lakewood! This is my ideal bar. It's laid back, cozy and seems to welcome anybody of any age and interest. The communal picnic tables mean you may end up sitting with people you've never met. They have some board games and food, but they welcome you to bring your own. Plenty of groups brought their own feast and a bag of games, too.
As for the drinks, they brew their own beer and make their own mead. I'm not a huge mead fan (although I admire them for making the old timey drink!), but I tried the frontier beer, which was pretty light and pretty good. I was an even bigger fan of the hot spiced cider and bourbon cocktail.
I'd recommend this place to all my friends and anyone looking for a chill night out with friends. I hope to return soon with games in tow!
