| - If you are looking for a place to do a car audio job but not 100% sure where to go, if you are a picky person who is afraid to trust an audio shop without a solid reliable recommendation or if you are here to know more about the quality of Audio Heaven's job, you HAVE TO read this review thoroughly:
2 weeks ago, I bought an app radio (Pioneer SPA-DH120). I was looking for such an audio system for years (!!) to have the compatibility with iPhone Car Play and android Multi Link features. First, I decided to install the system by myself (I am an experienced mechanical engineer). I bought the mounts and started reading the device's manual but noticed that there is a GPS antenna and microphone that probably is not easy to install it CLEAN. Therefore, I decided to ask someone professional do the job for me and started looking for all the 5 starts audio shops in Toronto, Markham, and Scarborough area and picked 3 of them. I talked with their owners/managers to check how they will route the cables and where they will put the microphone. After checking all of the reviews and getting quotes, I narrowed my options to an audio shop in Scarborough and Audio Heaven, which finally I decided to go with audio heaven; Not because it was cheaper while it was 40$ more expensive than the other place and not because of reviews which both are 5 full stars shop, but just because I got a really good feeling from Jeff , the owner of the shop, when I first him for the first time and also I noticed that he has this business for YEARSSS, approximately 17 years!! I thought, if he has managed to keep a business for 17 years in such a competitive industry, then his job should be really good.
I asked him how he is going to wire my car and he explained patiently the different options. I really wanted to have the main USB cable of CARPLAY (USB 1 for Iphone) to be mounted somewhere more accessible, not in the glove box. He told me that he will try to put the USB cable somewhere in the middle console but he told me he doesn't have any appointments for the next 2 weeks!! Later, I sent a couple of emails to him, asking some more questions. Which he answered them all. I went there the next weekend while Jeff wasn't there, but one of his best crews was assigned to do my job. I talked with him regarding the location of USB cable, option of adding a hub at the back of the deck and he patiently answered all of my questions, convinced me that a couple of my suggestions are not the best ideas to be implemented. After 2 hours, waiting in their well-equipped waiting room, I got the car and left the place, happy with my amazing app radio. However after 10 minutes driving, I noticed a crack in the central console of my car. I went back there but they were closed. The next day I went there to talk with Jeff and here is the surprise:
I was really frustrated and the whole time was thinking how he would react to this issue. I was expecting a range of reactions from acceptance to finding a way to show that's been my fault and they are not responsible, like what we see more often these days. Jeff checked the car and the first thing he told me was this crack wasn't there when he checked my car before installing the deck. Also he told me these things can always happen, which as an engineer I 100% agree, especially in such an old car like mine and such a cold weather that I bring my car there, but he added that the thing that is important is "how he, as the owner of that place, will manage this" and "will make sure that I will leave the shop 100% satisfied". He checked the shop's internal camera to find a clue what's happened and talk to the installer, but at the end he told me: "you know what, don't worry about it, I will install a brand new console for you!!" also he told me that he will bring this happening into their team meeting to discuss why this has happened and what they should do to prevent it in future!!!!" can you believe that while we are surrounded with corporates and franchises with their ignorant customer service, there are some businesses like Jeff's that are providing a real customer service?
Any ways, he told me that he will call me as soon as he receives the brand new OEM console from KIA. Also he kept sending me an email every day to update me with the status of the order and make sure that I am not worried any more....A week later I dropped my car there at noon, and picked it up later afternoon with the new console...left the shop 100% satisfied!
I promised my self that I will share this experience with anyone by any means and this is why I wrote such a lengthy review. This business deserves the best. If any one wants to do any audio job or tint job, you should suggest them to check this place and I guarantee no one leaves this place without being 100 percent satisfied...
