| - The Delano is a simple elegant hotel that provides a five star experience with an incognito feel. Technically the hotel is not a casino; rather the casino is at connected Mandalay bay. This allows guests to move in and out of the lobby without encountering traffic and congestion. This aspect of the hotel is very important and allows guests to have easy access to transportation. Delano is a good place for a high profile person to visit Vegas and pivot.

Overall Experience
Overall, I had a 3.5 star experience. In Vegas, I have five star experiences at Trump, Cosmopolitan, Venetian, Wynn, Encore, and Red Rock. I stayed in the Delano during the Black hat/Defcon 2017 cyber security conference. I expected more from what turned out to be very simple rooms.
At five star hotels, I expect a high quality speaker system, fluffy-warm towels, with top tier hygiene products, house cleaners that roll back your bed at night, chocolates, and sweet notes. I did not receive any of this at the Delano and I believe this aspect can improve. I never got the feeling that as a guest the hotel staff truly values me. Hotels listed above train their staff to be extremely customer-centric and their guests appreciate them for it.
I would recommend this hotel for those who want a low-key experience in Vegas, yet have access to everything that Vegas offers without the flash and pompous spirits.
