40th Street Diner is a very special place. I think the first time we were in was the day they opened. We lived in the nearby Greenway/Tatum area and I sold a lot of homes there so I would always know at least one person having breakfast at the same time as me. It's the kind of "old fashioned" neighborhood place where everyone joins in everyone elses conversations, be it the weather or current events. Sure there are differences of opinions but that's what makes people keep coming back. The food for breakfast is as good as it gets with lots of love added to each plate.
We've since moved to far west Peoria and I really miss the old neighborhood friendliness and the 40th Street Cafe.
If you love people and good conversation and amazing food be sure to drop in, by cautioned though it will soon be a regular place to meet friends and make new friends also. Peggy we miss seeing you!
