Cowtown is located at the skatepark at 57th and Union Hills. It's a little shop with very nice people working their. They are super friendly and helpful. I was looking for a board they do not carry, but they were nice enough to offer to order it for me.
They have great boards, carrying Sector 9, Santa Cruz and a few others. If you don't know much about skateboards, then you need to understand that these brands are amazing and ride as such. Simply spinning the wheels on one of these boards tell's the whole story. I'm not sure about the Santa Cruz boards, but Sector 9's are still handmade in California... that's USA folks.
The boards here start around $99 and go up. The Sector 9 board I was looking at was $109 at Cowtown. The same board at Amazon was the same price, so they are competitive, plus you get to support a local business and meet some cool people.
If your thought is that you can buy a cheaper board at Walmart?? ROFL, then you have no idea of the difference. The Walmarts fall apart and wheels don't spin well unless you loosen them beyond what they should be. Save the extra money and get a good board, specially if this is for your kid or grandchild.
Be safe!
