  • The Hilton Garden Inn on 200 Dundas St E is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I had 4 nights booked and paid for. I left after 2. I stayed at the beginning of July so hopefully things have changed since then. First of all, the majority of the front desk staff are judgemental, rude and most of all useless (apart from Felix the manager). Also, if you are a female travelling alone it is not a safe area. During my stay I hardly saw doormen or security. As I'm a smoker I do go out a lot in the evening but I made sure to stand just outside the door. Didn't matter. In the space of five minutes I could have 3 different homeless men approach me for money (which I didn't have cause I'd just popped out for a smoke). And they got nasty when you didn't have anything to give them. After an altercation with one such man I was ready to leave. Because of the 100% satisfaction guarantee Felix agreed to refund the two nighta I had stayed and eventually he refunded three.
