  • Was very excited about dining here and afterward about all I can say is that it the food was very underwhelming. I lived in Chicago for almost 20 years and hit pretty much all the big steakhouses in that time - Gibsons, Joe's, S&W, Chophouse, and the chains - Mortons/Capital Grill. I know a good steakhouse and J&G doesn't come close to even the chains. I had the Six Peppercorn NY Steak with foie gras. The peppercorn was strong which was fine with me but the meat was very flavorless. Even the foie gras was bland. The slides were small and the fries were cold when served to our table. The view is very nice and the wait staff did an excellent job but the kitchen and beef let them down big time.
