  • Deceitful sales man. Originally bought house that had Guardian and then a year later got a letter stating our contract was sold to Monitronics. 2 months after that Guardian salesman, Grant Boyd, came to my door saying Guardian wanted our business backend by doing so they would up grade our system for free. All I needed to do to cancel the service we had with Monitronics was so wrote them a letter stating they would like to cancel our acct. in fact Grant wrote the letter himself on my computer with the address and information for Monitronics. Got a letter from Monitronics stating we r under contract with them till 2020 and can't cancel. Called Guardian to have them resolve and they said it wasn't them that sold me the contract but a third party call AMP Security. I had to cal them which they stated that in order to get out of their contract, I would have to pay $1250 or I would need to submit the buy out of the Monitronics contract which they may or may not pay out, since it would have to be approved by upper management. I will be getting my attorney involved. Will be filing formal complaint with attorney generals office and the BBB.
