  • I have just used this company to relocate my apartment from US to Montreal, and I have a terrible experience. I used once US local moving company, and they were awesome, fast, exact, I had to pay the exact amount what we agreed. The Montreal Movers were nowhere close to that. I picked them because they gave me a reasonable quota for a 1 br apartment relocation. Until the they came to pick up my stuff everything looked normal. The driver arrived on time, but alone, and he was not able to get a local help for hours, so he had to move my stuff alone, sometimes it was necessary I helped him. Because of that it took 4 hours to empty my place. The local help showed up for the last hour only. They had to use a shuttle because the street was not wide enough for the big truck. They took my stuff on a Friday, I flew to Montreal on the next day. I got the paper work back on Monday with the instruction I have to go to Canada custom to declare my stuff. I did it on Tuesday morning, it took 5 min, I got a stamp that the moving company required, I sent it back to them. Earlier they promised a Wednesday delivery. Later on it turned out I didn't get one paper from custom, which was never mentioned earlier. So the delivery was delayed to Thursday. When I asked what was the problem or what could I did to make it faster the answer was always "I don't know". Finally they scheduled my delivery for Thursday, and I got my final invoice 1000.00 CAD more expensive than the quote. They charged 600.00 CAD for the shuttle and because "they" were loading my stuff for 7 hours. I called the guy and told him, that for 600.00 CAD renting a normal size track (U-HAUL) for 7 hours its a bit overpriced. He said it was 150.00 for the truck. I told him if he payed 450.00 for the one and half guy for 7 hours I wanted to work for him. And they charged 60.00 for tv packing, which never happened, they used my own box for that. I understand moving from US to Canada is not cheap, but there is a reason you ask for a quote, and based on that and some review that you can find online, you pick your choice. I would never pick them again!
