Izakaya Go was a no for me with their Shoyu Ramen. I will explain in a bit.
My sister suggested that we try out the place so I went with her. First off, the ambiance was very casual and this place has some points for some of its aesthetic decorations. Service was very prompt and great. We were quickly asked if my sister and I have been served and brought out waters.
They have a Happy Hour menu starting at 10pm- closing. I wasn't really in the mood to try much this night so this may be a disadvantage in the review for everything else. But after experiencing many other ramen places, I would not go here for ramen if that's what you're looking for.
Their Shoyu ramen is made with egg noodle and come with bamboo as the topping and a half cooked egg. As in my photo, you could tell that it was lacking variety. The broth was very flat and one dimensional.
I forgot what the dessert was called, but it was made with green tea pancake sandwich with red beans and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. If you like green tea unsweetened than you'll enjoy the green tea bitter after taste. I took a scoop of the red beans and vanilla ice cream with the green tea pancake and you get an un-orchestrated concoction of taste. The vanilla ice cream over powered everything.
On a side note I was told to try their tuna dishes and poke salad, so I may come back next time with a bigger appetite to try other things on the menu.
IMHO I would rather go to Ichiza... But I'm willing to give this place a try again some other time.
