As a Vegas local and someone who enjoys finding great spots to frequent, I had not yet tried Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill so decided to give it a try before a show this weekend. Celebrity restaurants in Vegas are definitely hit or miss and while there were aspects of Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill that were excellent, the service left something to be desired. First off -- since the service is what is giving this review poor marks let me start out by saying that our server had zero personality and was seldom seen or heard from. Service is the hallmark of a great restaurant, so even with the best food you can mess it up quickly with bad service. Our server should definitely find employment elsewhere. Now, on to the better part of the review - the food. The food was overall good. The short rib was extremely tender and tasty as it should be and it was atop an amazing risotto and the pearl onions were a very nice touch. The cheddar cauliflower was also very nicely done. Sticky toffee pudding is one of my favorite desserts and theirs was amazing. Cocktails were also great. Prices were high for what it is. I don't mind paying and you do expect to overpay on the strip, but this was a bit much. So, up the ante on service and you'd win me back -- not sure I'd give it another try based on what I experienced, however.
