  • McDonald's currently offer a promotion called "create your taste" dubbed CYT for short that is only available from 11 am to 7 pm and through dine in only. What CYT is according to their marketing slogan is "Your creation. Made by us. Worth the wait" in which they test a new dining experience in which we (the customers) create our own mouth-watering burger which comes in a wooden platter and a medium sized fries in a small metal like basket. Now I've been to a few McDonald's where I tried the CYT but this is my first review on it. What I like about this particular location is that the crew member sells you the CYT unlike other locations where the crew member just talks about it and says "if you need any help let me know." I believe upselling is the key in order to sell more toppings because if you check the topping list after you build it they do charge you. You'll start off with a base of $8 then it goes up by either .25, .50, or .75 depending on what you add on. Now since it's a promotion, it's the crew member's job to tell you that you'll also get a medium sized drink and fries for free if he/she forgets (most locations do because they don't care) then you'll have to remind them. You place the order, pay, they'll give you a "place setter" in which they'll find you once your order is ready, and serve you what you created. There's a lot more to explain but I STRONGLY recommend trying it out yourself.
