I must say I have never been more disappointed in a product or service of a company I believe in ever. I brought my IPhone 5 to the Apple Store today at Northlake Mall in Charlotte, NC with the following problems:
Battery needs to be charged 3 - 4 times per day.
Phone will not back up automatically or manually to the cloud or to my computer
Phone can't readily switch between Wifi an LTE/4G/3G
Phone constantly and randomly crashes
I was informed that my phone which is 79 days over one year old needed a new $100 battery. I also was informed that it needed to be erased and that it could not be reloaded from even an older back up. In other words - I would lose every app, every picture, every text, everything ever loaded to this phone.
Apparently there is a way to recover some portion of these things without risking the phone again. However, I was informed by the person helping me that they were not allowed enough time to provide that level of assistance and that I would have to "try to figure all that out on my own."
I have one more year in my contract unfortunately. My next phone will not be an Apple. It makes me sad because I also have an Apple Mac Book Pro, Apple TV and an iPad to phase out now! Spend your money on another product. The service Apple was once famous for is no more!
