  • I have had both a rabbit and a cat in the care of the vets here. I first found the clinic when I was getting quotes to have my rabbit neutered. I got quotes from 4 or 5 different clinics, and Burnhamthorpe Animal Hospital gave me not only the most reasonable price, but included in that price was follow-up care that was not even mentioned by other clinics. I also found them far friendlier than the other clinics to whom I'd spoken, and I chose to have my rabbit's surgery there, and ultimately to switch all of his care to them. His surgery and recovery went great, and through the years, Dr. Cameron, and then Dr. Agius would get back to me whenever I, as a first time rabbit owner, had some silly question or concern. When I moved out of the country, Dr. Agius was integral in helping me plan out how I would fly with my rabbit and arranging documentation to avoid any delay or quarantine. Even knowing that I would not have my rabbit with the clinic anymore, Dr. Agius was flexible and accommodating. Meanwhile, my family's elderly cat fell ill. I referred my parents to the clinic after we had been disappointed with the care she had received at her longtime veterinary clinic. Dr. McPhee became her new vet, and her compassion and expertise made all the difference. As our family prepared for the inevitable, Dr. McPhee was empathic, attentive, and must have answered dozens of calls from us as we worried about our cat's health. She was acutely aware of how cost can be a barrier to pets getting the care they need, and she showed great sensitivity to that. Our cat was a weekly visitor to the clinic by the end, and each time we knew she would be handled with the care and affection she needed in her frail state.
