| - I was highly disappointed with my services at the Color Salon. This review is especially for brides who are thinking about doing hair and makeup at this salon.
My wedding is scheduled for March of 2018 at Caesar's Palace. Although my package didn't come with a salon credit, I decided to book a trial and my services for my upcoming wedding anyway.
I called the salon in December to schedule an appointment for a trial for hair in makeup in January . The first time I called, I spoke with someone who asked me to email my information so they could get back to me with a time and details for my trial. After about a week of waiting, I didn't have a response. So, I called the salon again and someone scheduled a trial session for hair and makeup. I politely asked for an email confirmation and did not receive one. At the time I didn't feel like this was a big deal. I wrote the date and time down on my calendar.
However, last week when I arrived in Vegas ( I came from Chicago) I still didn't have any confirmation or reminder from the salon. I called the salon to confirm my appointment on my own and they had told me I was booked for the 3rd and not the 4th. I had the 4th written down and was certain that's when I made the appointment. Instead of getting angry, I politely rescheduled for the next day.
The next day, upon arrival, the stylist told me that she wouldn't be available for the day of my wedding, but could still do my trial. I was upset because the point of a trial is to do it with the same person who will be doing it the day if the wedding. After speaking with a manager and explaining the situation, she asked me to reschedule! I said yes and came in the next day.
I kept my cool and was very polite even though I was frustrated and irritated. She assured me that the same people doing my trial would be doing my hair on my wedding.
The second day I came in, I went to my makeup appointment. My stylist was OK. She wasn't particularly friendly and I thought her airbrush makeup was average, nothing super special. She acted like she was doing me a favor because she was doing my makeup. Her makeup was OK, but I didn't feel the makeup artist was friendly.
After the makeup, it was time to go to my hair appointment. Once again a different stylist told me that she was not available the day of my wedding , even though the manager assured me she would be.
This time, I spoke with a different manager. She was extremely apologetic and gave me my makeup service for free. All j had to do was tip my makeup artist. I appreciate the manager's attempt to make everything better.
Long story short I traveled from Chicago to Vegas to have my wedding trial done and the Color Salon didn't come through. I really wanted to book my services for the wedding there since I am getting married at Caesar's.
Unfortunately, I don't think I will be able to do so because I feel that this salon is too unreliable and I am not confident my services will be booked correctly for my big day.
I really had high hopes for this salon and ended up leaving with disappointment and sadness. It wouldn't have been a big deal if I lived in Vegas. However, I wasted so much time on my trip due to staff at the salon being careless.
