CRG is mostly bouldering, and offers less top-roping than expected. There's an upstairs "training" area, with a steep overhang wall, peg boards, and pull up bars. There is TRX equipment and a squat rack.
Problems are long, with a lot of moves. Most routes top out, but the few that require you to swing down are a little scary, because the mats are old and the main padding doesn't feel very thick.
The staff is OK - mostly unapproachable college aged students working part time.
CRG doesn't have as friendly of a gym culture, and climbers don't really socialize with each other in between problems. I usually went with a friend, but I can imagine that CRG would feel intimidating or isolating if you were to climb here alone for the first time.
