  • This place is directly on my way to and from work. You can't get much more convenient than being straight across from a Subway station. The value is great. You can pay $10/month to have access to this one location or $20/month to have access to all the locations plus free unlimited tanning, a gym bag, a shirt, and the ability to let a friend borrow your pass whenever you aren't there. They have all the cardio machines, a lot of weight machines, free weights, and a separate 30-min express circuit for the time-crunched. It's 24 hours but the morning is the best time to go because everything is free and the incredible hulk guys aren't throwing free weights around. There are a few sacrifices for such a deal, though. There are no showers and there are no group classes. It's a gym you go to to work out, not for spa services or social mingling. The gym itself is great, I did have some problems with registering, though. The guy told me my card would work in 24 - 48 hours and it didn't. I went back and the lady told me he was supposed to "program it" and didn't. I don't know, seems like that's the kind of thing you want to remember to do. But anyway, everything is fine since then.
