I've lived in Vegas for a very long time. For a couple of reasons, I looked to Yelp to find a new stylist. Based on the reviews I decided to try Cut Line Studios (aka Chanel).
Chanel is very personable -- and can handle either a razor or a pair of scissors. But my experience was not what I expected. Maybe I've been spoiled by my salon experiences over the past couple of decades.
I can't remember the last time (before my appointment with Chanel) I got my hair cut when my hair was not washed before my cut. Or rinsed after. Chanel has no shampoo bowl.
Perhaps, given today's styles, hair can be cut dry. But this older guy, who likes his hair longer than scalp-length, thinks hair should be WET for a good cut.
SUMMARY: Chanel is both a very nice person and does have experience. Maybe it's just getting harder and harder for us older guys to find a stylist who can cut 1990 - 2000ish style.
