  • This place is a dive. Super-nice staff, but it's ... grimy and falling apart. I have no idea how it got so many 5-star reviews saying it's perfect in every detail. I suspect they're not genuine. I think if you were pretty strongly buzzed or drunk, or just like solving puzzles no matter what, you'd get some enjoyment. But on our visit: * The bathroom wasn't clean for us to use - something about previous people spilling beer on the floor. ?! But the staff person cleaned it for us. * Several clues / devices in our room had obviously been changed/adapted over time - we could see the old markings crossed out, and new ones written. * One of our props was battery powered and died before we could use it. * Another device failed to function properly, even with the correct solution. * One of the major rewards/challenges, finding a door and going through it, was ruined because it was already partly open when we started. * I saw lots of bad wiring that looked like clear fire code violations. Like really, lots of electrically powered props that looked like they were soldered together _after_ a trip to a dispensary. But on the bright side, there are ample fire exits! Etc., etc. I seriously believe most of the positive reviews are fake.
