  • I recently had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Maples and his staff at South End Veterinary Clinic. They squeezed my cat in as a new patient for a last minute appointment after I noticed a severe change in her behavior. Everyone was extremely friendly, and I loved the vibe of the office. It was clear these people have a love for animals, and a passion for taking care of them. Unfortunately, my cat was worse off than I expected and I had to make the difficult decision to end her suffering. Strangely enough this experience is what truly won me over to this team. Dr. Maples explained everything to me, in details that I could understand. He didn't sugar coat things, but was very gentle in explaining my options, and giving his recommendations. My experience with the other staff members was limited, but they were all very kind and sincere in expressing their condolences. I even received a condolence card in the mail with thoughtful, handwritten notes. I think what makes this aspect mean so much is that even though we were new clients, and even though I have no immediate need to give them further business, they treated me and my cats like we were life time clients. If I ever find myself ready for another pet, I cannot imagine taking them any place else for their veterinarian needs.
