  • Lived here for three years, here's my experience. Environment: - Noisy as all hell, tons of loud neighbors above and around you throwing parties and shouting at each other late at night - Lots of trash left in common areas - Common areas are usually broken and poorly cleaned - Only clean the grounds about once a year, so in between the hallways are covered in spiderwebs, dirt, etc. - Gates to the complex and garage are often broken (Stuck open or stuck shut) - Right near Mill/Light rail so it's close to some fun stuff, but you also get some floaty/vagranty types hanging around the area pretty often. Living Situation - Most apartments have tons of windows, so it gets very expensive ($250+/mo in the summer) to keep them cool. - Rent went up every year by about $100. Started at $930 for a studio, same studio was $1160 when I chose to move. - Apartment held together okay, furnishings were relatively new. - Elevators don't have A/C or fans at all, which means they get hotter than outdoors most of the time. Going down to the garage can make you sweaty in less than a minute. Stairwells aren't much better. - I saw a half dozen bikes get stolen FROM THE GARAGE while I was living there. - My car was broken into (There are no security cameras ANYWHERE on grounds, so just had to write that off) and junk stolen out of the back. - At least one other car was broken into while I lived there. When I moved out, the elevator broke with my furniture inside, and I had to abandon it. One lady from the office got upset that her manager asked her to stay late and move it from the elevator back into the unit while I drove with my movers to my new place, so she purposefully destroyed my furniture to get back at me. The manager compensated me for the damage, but made sure to make up some "Carpet Damage Fees" to cover the loss after I had moved, so broke even on that in the end. All in all, I lived here. It was doable, not worth the money at all, and not the best place to be a 20-something, professional student. Unless you have tons of cash to blow and want to go get trashed on Mill every night, there are much better options!
