Hubby and I came here on a Wednesday night for some spur of the moment sushi. We usually go to Sushi Kaya but we didn't feel like waiting an hour to be seated so we settled on trying something new. We had high hopes to the 4 star sushi spot... Were still scratching our heads on how this score came to be.
Naka Sushi is located on Lake Mead and Rampart in a Smiths shopping center. We walked in and were immediately seated. We both opted for the AYCE for $22.00 and were greeted by a not so cheerful server. Never caught her name but she was absent for the most part. The bus boy was constantly taking our orders and filling our drinks.
We ordered a few specialty rolls and sashimi. Out of about 20 items we ordered we only liked 2. The Brian Roll and Mark Roll were both fantastic. But they didnt make up for the rest. Hafl of the sashimi we were afraid to eat because of the strong "fishy" smell and taste.
Overall we probably wont be back, We will stick to authentic sushi spots.
