It has been 10 years since my last visit. I decided to stop up at the Five O'Clock while attempting to kill time before the Capitol Theater's midnight showing of The Warriors. Five O'Clock is a nice bar with all the original retro furnishings that I appreciate. It has a nice warm interior with a red hue. The curved bar is a sight to behold and the crescent booths are impressive. I don't recall seeing any TV's which is one of my favorite things for a bar to leave out of the mix. I don't know why people fixate on a glowing screen when there are real life characters to engage with or observe. They have a decent beer selection as well. I hope that I can stay strong and not go with friends to W 25th or any of the Animal Planet style watering holes where people try to assert dominance and lay claim to drunken prey. This is coming fresh off a Friday night where my friend should have DDT'd some jerk at Market Garden. Think I may need to reenact my weekend boycott of that clown show.
