| - RUN! Find out what you could do on your own before making the mistake of calling Bernstein and Poison.
Complete disappointment. Contacted my wife only 4/5 times out of 5 months and still going through the headaches. This will be lengthy in hopes of getting some actual advise.
The accident -
November 28th, while driving north on Rainbow @ Charleston, my wife was rear ended by a Toyota 4-runner driven by Skyler Cisco.
The trap. Oops, I mean consult. -
The next day we called Bernstein and Poison. Jamie Corcoran offered to come to us. Okay. First impression was obviously impressive. Came to the house to talk to my wife and I. Pretty much an open shut case because of the rear ending. All she would have to do is go to her chiropractor and to not worry, they will update her. As for the vehicle, they will investigated let us know. Asks us to sign retainer and we do so in hopes of getting my wife better and vehicle back on the road. Promises made, aaaaand go.
12/1/17 -
Her first day at the chiropractor. Called Jamie and get no answer.
12/2/17 -
Wife's vehicle begins to run sluggishly. Talked to our insurance company to find out if we can get a rental. They say they are still trying to get a hold of Skylers insurance company. We try to call Jamie again for advise, no answer.
12/18/17 -
Email sent out to Jamie regarding investigation of Skylers insurance, and a message "Delivery failed. Recipients mailbox is full, can't accept messages " was all we got. So called Jamie again at the office. Of course not available. Left a message to the case manager, and she finally calls back. She tells us other party has no active insurance. Okay, not our problem, but continues to tell us to call our insurance to ask if they got information. -not our job- We advised her that, the night of the accident Skyler offered to fix the vehicle. Case manager tells us to not talk or communicate with other party. Okay. So again we wait.
12/23, 26, 27/17 -
Wife calls Jamie to let them know she will be released from chiropractor on the 15th.m of Jan. No answer. Message left and NO call back from anyone. At this time, our insurance tells us it would be our own insurance that would be sued and will be paying for my wife's chiropractor visits. WE'RE SUING OURSELVES!!!!
12/28/17 -
Wife calls Jamie to update him. Again, NO call back.
01/15/18
Released from chiropractor. Calls to update, and yes you guessed it, no call back.
At this point more issues start with the vehicle. No way to get advice from our representatives, and we're unable to move forward with fixing the vehicle without coming out of our pocket.
Forget exact dates, it is February now! -
A call comes in from the case manager asking my wife the status of her chiropractor. SAY WHAT?! STATUS? It's been a month since being released. Case manager tells her no message was given. Wife is advised a settlement is being worked on.
Another month, March -
Jamie calls regarding settlement, saying he is trying to get more money. Nothing about the car, nothing about the other party, NOTHING. We're tired now. The disappointment has already sit in. No expectations from them, no optimism. Gives my wife a broad week or two time frame.
April 2nd, 18 -
Settlement ready, come sign. So we set up to come in on the 5th. Wifes asks the best time to come in. Before 5pm.
April 5th, 18
We're there before 4:30pm. Told to wait. I check in on Yelp! We're waiting. And waiting, and waiting, and who comes out? Not our lawyer or case manager. Not one person that was suppose to represent us.
What we saw.
A very vague print out of the case. 1 page showing my wife walks away with no more than $2600 from a $8700 settlement. Oh and guess what, they get $2500 for doing nothing at all to help my wife get her vehicle safely back on the road. No advice, no direction, nothing. A part of the 33.3% fee. 5 months Bernstein to get nothing more than what we could have done on our own.

GUESS WHO CALLS? Lol yep, Jamie. An update will be given for the conclusion of this case. While we are at it, any advise will be appreciated.
You should be ashamed Bernstein and Poison. Ease of mind and stress free is how we should be feeling as your clients. For any business at that. So far, the feeling is more of a quick lay, an easy buck, and a tape of our own insurance resulting in higher rates. THATS NUTTIER THAN A SQUIRREL TURD!!
We'll have to wait for the appointment for the official signing party, yay, to see where this goes. Till then.......
