| - We stayed at the Sheraton Centre as part of a convention. The hotel is in the heart of Toronto, and is not unlike other major hotels downtown. The facilities are well maintained, and clean. The staff was attentive and check in was a breeze. Like most downtown hotels, the rooms are smaller than in the burbs. One side of the main tower looks out on City Hall, the other over looks the partially covered pool - but offers a view of the CN Tower.
PATH connects the hotel to the Hudson Bay Company store (on Bay) and provides a small, but convenient food court along the walk. Since I was in meetings most of the time, I wasn't able to take advantage of all the amenities, but I was told they were very good. Note of advice, if you select to go green, housekeeping won't visit you until the third day. This means that you won't get your in-room coffee replenished, or trashed emptied. This actually became a problem for us, but a call to guest services resolved the coffee issue.
The room prices are a bit on the high side, but remember it's all about Location - Location - Location, and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to host a conference or just a room.
