Cupcakes are a great alternative to having a variety of flavors when bringing dessert to a party or gathering. Even better when you have a small crowd because you can cut them in quarters and sample them all. Gigi's has a variety of cupcakes daily so if there is one particular one that you like and you want for a special occasion you want to plan your occasion around the day of the week that cupcake is baked.
I agree with the other ratings ... very top heavy due to the huge amounts of frosting (which is yummy) but regarding the cake part, could have more flavor (kind of bland). I was surprised how pricey they are (more expensive than the popular Beverly Hills bakery that bakes for the stars) but close to home and nice for a special occasion since the cupcakes are beautifully decorated and the presentation in the packing is nice.
This location's phone seems to always be on forward (hard to speak to a human being on the phone to place an order) and when the answering machine picks up, it informs you that the mailbox is full and asks you to try again later. I did get through once to the answering machine and left a message and no one ever returned my call (I waited a day and a half). I ended up going down there in person to place my order since I had questions regarding the special holiday cupcakes flavors/photos that were on their website since there was no caption indicating what flavors these were and what the timeline of the holiday cupcakes were offered. The people that work there are very nice/helpful. I think they are probably short handed during the busy holiday season and that is why this is happening.
