I really wanted to like this place. It's close to home, it's in a cozy, quaint plaza, and it has the potential to be a neighbourhood staple. Where do I even begin? We sat down hungry and excited to try the food and dessert. Ordered the trout and steak frites. Our waiter was nice and attentive enough. However, I noticed the water glasses smelled like they had been wiped down with a mouldy towel. Still, at that point I was enjoying the place. Then the food took a while to come out and when it did, a different waitress slammed my plate down with no apology... The trout and steamed veg tasted fine but the saffron rice was horrible and stale. I'm not a hugely picky eater and I like all rice. But this was inedible. All of us left the rice barely touched so I hope the kitchen got the message. To top it off, it's quite expensive for what you get. I've had more fulfilling meals at ikea for a fraction of the cost. I might give it one more try just because it is so close to home but I won't hold my breath.
