This is my favorite venue in the state. The venue is beautiful, the ambiance is cultivated to be cool and contemporary without alienating an older or more conventional theater audience.
Outside theres lovely water and places to wind down and its quite lovely before a show, during intermission or after a show to spend some extra time with your date.
As far as it being a center for arts I love the diversity in show they offer. I've been to classical concerts, opera singers, and comedy and its never been a miss. Whoever chooses the shows here does a much better job than other local competing venues.
The only thing lacking is the selection at the bar. For such a nice place i'd think they could go higher class above the well.
