cool and chic decor; a place aiming to appeal to the higher-end clientele (i.e. not dead broke college kids).
liked the furniture setting; it's very lounge-y. however, the cushion seats were all over the place they were blocking the narrow passage between tables and they got very chaotic, especially when there were all laying around in no man's land, nobody knew whether we should just grab them or wait for the waiters to properly rearranged them.
got a bottle of asti to go w/the choco fondue; all recommendations from the temp locals (international college students). wine was good and the fresh fruit plate that came w/the fondue was of a good selection and quality, if a bit scarce. the chocolate itself was sooooo smooth yet rich, i had to ask what kind it was. the waiter, who couldn't answer my question, promised to go to the kitchen and ask. it took him a while so i was not expecting to get much back. but he REALLY went to ask for me; even wrote down the kind of chocolate on a post-it note to show me. while i was quite surprised that they would actually share their secret ingredient, i applaud this young waiter for his professionalism on his job.
forgot how much the bill came to for the 4 of us; it did seem a bit pricey given the little that we had. but it was a good place to lounge around, if one got nothing better to do on a weekend--and if you're not the college kid looking for cheap beer and loud club music. that place was pretty loud itself, but with lounge music instead.
