| - The guys in the store that I dealt with were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. After purchasing a forclosed home with an empty plaster pool, I knew it needed work. I decided to clean and fill it, just to see if there were any obvious problems - leaks, broken pump, etc. As a first time pool owner, the salesman showed me step by step how to run the pump and filter, do a backwash, and what chemicals to use and how often. He was very professional - A+ for storefront service.
After 2 months of holding water, the pool started leaking. I called several companies for a replaster quote, B &L's was reasonable and competitive. Although not the least expensive, after my good store experience, I felt confident having them do the job. After waiting the winter before going ahead with the repair, I called to see if they would honor a quote given 9 months ago, they said they would. I thought, Wow! thats great. However..........
They wanted to check the pressure on the plumbing to ensure the leak wasn't in the pipes (the pool has been sitting empty for the winter). I was glad they wanted to be thorough. The guy was supposed to come out on Thursday, but didn't show up until the following Tuesday and didn't call to let me know the results until Thursday - when he said he needed additional equipment and wanted his supervisor to look at something. That was two weeks ago. I've called B&L three times, and am always told the same thing - let me make a few phone calls to my guys and I'll call you back.
Not the way I want to do business. Not the way I would want my company doing business.
