| - The Eastside Cannery is a typical locals casino. They offer more freeplay and do better giveaways than the Stations. Their biggest downside is they have very limited dining, and that's gotten worse over time.
The casino floor is nicer and more open than the rest of the casinos on Boulder Highway. They have a large selection of table games and machines. Their sports book is pretty usual to, with less TVs than most books have. They're also less busy than Sam's Town and Boulder Station if you don't like crowds.
They give you freeplay three times a week, which is probably their biggest plus. I would play here over the Stations anytime. Their payouts are about the same as the Stations, which are pretty typical for local Casinos. Sam's Town does offer better payouts, but their players club isn't as generous, so the call is yours on which you'd rather gamble at.
The biggest downside to the Cannery is their lack of dining options, are really anything else besides the casino. They don't have a theater or bowling alley, and they only have their cafe, deli and steakhouse to eat at. They just closed their buffet and changed their menu at their steakhouse "Carve".
The cafe and deli are good, but the new menu for Carve isn't nearly as good as it used to be. Heck, I don't think you can even call it a steakhouse anymore, as they only have prime rib and filet mignon now. No sirloin, no New York, no ribeye. Just a shame considering they used to have the best steaks on Boulder Highway.
Sadly, we only come here anymore to play or freeplay and get food at the deli. There is no reason to come here besides just gambling, so if that's all you want to do then stop by.
